Default Need some help installing rear deck speakers

Hey everyone, I just got some new 6.5 speakers and want to install them in my 05 Civic, anyone know where to get a step by step diagram on how to install them. Im not a good electronic person, usually my brother does it but hes lazy and I want them in asap. Thanks for the help.

as far as i know... all rear deck speak's in civics are 6x9...

yea thats what i thought, but he said he needs help installing rear spekers, and he talks about how he got new 6.5 speakers...so im confused

Yeah they are 6x9 but 6.5 will fit and sound better, or so I have been told.

stock mounts are oval shaped for 6x9 speakers...

you'd need an adapter plate to mount 6.5" speakers w/tweeters or a component system in the rear mounting location...

requires removing pretty much all interior trim in the rear of the car, as the speakers are top mounts

there is a DIY for installing them.....i kno its for a different year car than yours, but i doubt they are that different.....

bluedemon.... is your 05 2dr or 4dr? i have an 05 lx but I can see the rear speakers are 6.5 or 7 but i'm sure it's round and not 6x9. could you confirm?

Its a 2dr, I thought it was funny cause I think that Best Buy told me that there was 6.5 in the front and rear, I haven't actually looked cause I don't know how to get the rear deck off yet. Oh and I have the cheapest version available, if that helps.
