Just because it has more options you can add doesnt make it better. I buy an alarm for security.

Hyundia makes a car with lots of options. Doesnt mean its good stuff.

Thanks for all the opinions, from what I read so far it sounds like viper is most supported. while we are discussing alarms/start i have another noob question, my 5th gen is a manual, can i still have remote start, and will a shop install it because i thought i heard somewhere that shops wont install remote start on 5 speed vehicles. O and i dont know if this changes which alarm i should get but i wanted it to be lcd and have remote start (if it will work with my car). Thanks again, and any more opinions are more than welcome.

I belive clifford is the only one with a remote start for manuals, but it is not LCD screen.

The viper 791XV is remote start and LCD two way paging but a reputable shop wont intsall it into your car. If you do get it installed it will only be a matter of time before you wreck it, and when it does, if it hits a kid, you and the installer are screwed.

I believe LEVIII Is right cliford does make a remote start/alarm for manuals but good luck finding a shop to install it.

And Clarion still makes the ungo alarms. Our clarion rep just got us the info one day and I liked what I saw so we picked them up.

i install at best buY and i think VIPER is the best bang for your buck, i've got the 791 remote start/alarm/keyless/trunk pop on my 05 accord and i love it. The two way is a bunch of BULLSSHIAT because they never seem to work right.... But overall, they respond faster than most other brands, and the range is SUPER SUPER good, I can start mine from customer service when i clock out, walk all the way to the front of the store, and all the way to the OTHER end of the parking lot.... get in my black leather interiored car.... and it's as cool as the freezer section at your local grocery store.... thank you DEI
