*shakes his head...

Be a man, tell her you're not installing anything for her unless it's done right. If that doesn't work, tell her you found a way around it, then wire it through it behind her back. She'll never check. If that doesn't work, delete her number, change your locks and never speak to her again.

*Laughing at the girl who doesn't want to learn how to do it herself*

Tell her you either drill through the firewall or drill through her floorboard, or she can stick with the stock system. It's best to go through the firewall. Why doesn't she want it going through the firewall anyway? I agree w/GT, do it anyway...doesn't seem like she would know the difference anyway!!!

doing the ole door jam maneuver that most people use can end up being a bad idea.

isn't there a gromet for the factory harness already going threw the firewall? just make a cut next to the wires and run your new wire threw that hole in the grommet. i've always passed my wires in that grommet on every instal i did. going around door jam is the stupidest thing to do, the wire might rub against metal and become bare and short, plus you can see the wire when u open the door.

Yup ^ what he said. Just explain to her that you don't need to DRILL a hole, you can just "gently slip" the power wire through an existing rubber grommet.

Yea in my '04 sunfire there is a 3" rubber grommet that all you have to do is poke a painters knife through and pull the wire. No drilling made that job alot easier, especially with 4 gauge wire

Don't cut a hole in the grommet. Just unwrap the electrical tape around it, slide it through the hole that the stock wires are in the tightly rewrap new tape.
