OK well this is the issue i am having resently for the past month and half everytime i have the music loud the radio cuts off and restarts its self or if i have the bass high also cuts off i have checked the fuses and they are all ok can anyone help me with this

Sorry about that i have a 94 civic ex coupe with a 99 vtec motor Y8my setup is alpine head unit it is ipod ready which i have in use i also have 2 type R subs i have disconnected the subs to see if it was the cause for the short but still same thing i have also disconnected the amp nada i have a Optium battery Yellow top soo i know it cant be that so does any one have any ideas thanks in advance

What voice coil configuration on the type R's, and how are they wired....and what type of amp?
Also, try using your amp turn on from your deck to trigger a relay.....to turn the amp on.

Have there been any other parts of the car that have had a sudden loss of power?
Any problems starting?
Gauge lights dimmer than usual?
Check your battery connections just to make sure that they are solid.

you know what when i brake the head lights do dimmer but get power again and at time the dash light is out but not much if its the battery connectors i should replace them with what longer ones since i have the optium or what but again the radio knocks out well really it reboots its self after a certain vol or bass not sure why theRadio is a

sounds like a bad alternator or ground cable from the battery

really so if i swap out the alternator it should work better and not have the issues i have been having and if its the ground then i will swap both positive and neggative but what is a good brand for an alternator
