you know what wire you need to have plugged in for it to work for manual? the guy i bought my car from unplugged some wire and now the remote start only works if i push clutch in and he dont know what wire or where. please help!!

its the clutch bypass wire that he unlugged either from a relay or from the clutch switch itself, get me the make and model of the remote start and I can tell you which plug and which wire you will need. I also need the year and model of your civic.

on the back of the remote it says xt-33 i think thats what model it is.

 

yeah without knowing the model on the remote start brain I can't really help you much, they all have the same basic install but there should be a wire going from the clutch switch itself to the brain thats the one you are looking for.

the clutch switch is located just above the clutch pedal one side should be + and the switch just interrupts the power to the other side if memory serves its a + clutch switch. Anyhow I can't seem to find the colour code at the moment but if you get up under the dash you will see the switch its the only one on the pedal there unless you have cruise control. Some people do it the ghetto way and just cut and connect the 2 wires instead of putting a + feed to the 1 side of the clutch. It looks like someone installed an automatic remote starter into the car, but I may be wrong on that. It should be the pink wire in the 6 pin plug from the brain running to the clutch switch or ignition 2 output wire as it is a + output when trying to start the car.
