Default In search of a system

ok so im planning on getting a nice system together , i've never been a fan of these kind of things but sometimes i wish i had a nice little system to cruise around. well anyways i was wondering what could be a nice set up , im not planning on going ***** out on stereo mods. so far i've come up with a few things i think i need , correct me if im wrong since i know basically nothing about this.

i already have a pioneer head unit

1. 4 speakers ( dont know which brand is good)
2. amp to power the speakers , dont know how much watts i'll need to power 4 speakers
3. 2 10" sub woofers which i'll probably buy some audiopipe
4.amp for the subs again i dont know how much watts to power 2 10"s

will i need a cap for this? i dont want my lights to dim whenever it hits a deep bass note and i also think im gonna need a pre-amp right?

My lights dont dim and I have a similar setup. You need to decide on some speakers that you like the style and sound of. Go to your local audio dealer and have a listen to their speaker rack and see what you like and what you dont like. Remember that how the speakers look is also important if they are going to be on show. Once you gimme some power figures of speakers you like I can suggest some amps for you

I would suggest figuring out you budjet first. The ENTIRE budget. Think about cable interconnects, etc.

for speakers i highly reccomend infinity kappa series speakers for the front, i didn't even replace my rears from stock and have awesome sound, for subs in most cases you get what you pay for, alpine, kicker, JL, are all great subs, for the amps personally, in my opinion, alpine is the best way to go.

i have one 12" kicker sub and the front infinity speakers powered by an alpine amp and it sounds great

personally id stay away from sony, if your looking for budget stuff but want something that will last longer go kenwood or pioneer. Friends of mine had nothing but trouble with sony. Alpine are a good solid make but can be expensive..
