shift console not lighting up

Question shift console not lighting up

the light is not working on the middle console were the shifter is. Where it tells you P R N D D1 D2 >> its not lighting up.. any one know what size bulbs it uses? or if maybe something else is wrong

i dont think it lights up, at least for my car when i got it

What year Civic?

it uses a 74 wedge bulb

it's probably burnt out

man, now im going to need to change my bulb. lol. i thought they don't light up

92-95 ones light up, so i'd be surprised if 96-00 doesn't. wouldn't make sense for honda to take out a feature like that over the years.

you sure its a #74...its very small

I had to change that one out on two different 6th gens and my old 5th gen. Im not sure if it's a 74.

i thought it was a 74
i could be wrong though

just take the bulb out and bring it to the auto parts store and compare it to the 74 bulb they have. if it doesn't match, find the one it matches.
