Default Shift light with buzzer (civic 1995)

Hey, I hope I got in the right place to ask about it.
I want to attach my own shift light gauge a buzzer beep sound .
I was thinking about connecting external buzzer to the light. and when the light is up, buzzer will work also. can it be work at all? or it will burn the gauge's sensor ?
sorry for the bad painting lol

I don't see why it wouldn't work, but would you really hear it when higher up in the rpms? I'm going to assume that your car is not stock and quiet.

Not even sure why you need a big tach like that. do you have a tach on the stock gauge cluster? Many tuning system out there can have the check engine light turn on as a shift light. You could always wire a buzzer to that. I've never been a fan of big ol' tachs mounted on the dash
