Default Single Din Stereo Install

Question for everyone here...I just picked up a 2005 Civic LX. It has the factory Single DIN stereo in it at the moment, however all of the mounting kits I have seen are for the full 2 din, do I need to do an entire mounting kit for a 2 din or is there a 1 din mounting kit out there for an aftermarket headunit. I kind of like that the cubby below the current 1din stock stereo has a cover on it and was hoping to avoid a cheap mounting kit. Thanks!

They make both single and double din kits. Most double din kits come with a pocket option. Here's one that would work for you:

Ok...and one more question, crutchfield includes the mounting hardware and the wire harness, but no antenna adapter. Is there not a radio antenna adapter needed for this car?

Thanks,
Tim

I'm not sure if that link contained the wire harness, but there shouldn't be a need for an antenna adapter, if I remember right.
