ok guys well i bidded on this in-dash on ebay http://www.pimpmycar.net/brands_pion...avx-p8dvd.htmlproblem is i didnt know that it is just an add on, it doesnt include am/fm, so now i bidded and i am the winning bidder and if i win i bought the wrogn product, if i do get this can i hook it up without an add-on radio or do i have to have one, also i only have single din

you mean it just doesnt power the speakers...... if thats what ya mean just buy a cheap 4channel amplifier and your fine...

BUT if you bid on ebay and auction hasnt ended or in the last 24hours.... just go into bid history and cancle your bid........

no thats not wut imean, it doesnt include am/fm and i believe its jsut an add-on, it says this feature do u know wut this means

do you already have an aftermarket deck? if so make sure that you have an input on the back of it and then the screen should plug right into that. i think it was designed though with the new pioneer decks in mind, b/c from what i gathered if you have a new pioneer then you should be able to use the touch screen with it. im not sure about the other controls though.

basically this is a DVD player with a screen its a add on , pioneer does make a add on radio tuner to plug in but the main ? is why would you want a radio with a digital DVD player , i emphasize digital because AM/FM is analog so the quality is bad , you have a DVD player that playsDVDs and CDR/Ws , if you want radio then get a satellite receiver like XM or SIRUIOS , if you really want local stations then you can get the pioneer AM/FM tuner

so if i decided to purchase this indash can i without an aftermarket radio, is the only difference that i wont have am fm?

Yes, you can use it, but only if you have a 4-channel amp or aftermarket head/unit that supports aux in. This DVD player does not have a built in amp.
