Default Sound Deading?

I need enough sound deadening material to cover my 96 CX, and I want something that's gonna do a good job (don't want to hear anymore radling, don't want some crappy knockoff stuff either). Any suggestions?

Dynamat is awesome. I had it on the old hatch and it cut out all the rattles as well as cut down on the road noise. The only downside to is that it can get expensive.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, you may look into RAAMat BXT. Its supposed to be the same material as dynamat, but very slightly thinner. You could get enough to cover the whole car for $220. you may want to do some research about it first though cuz I don't have any actual experience with it.

dynamat is recommended

for the rattles though, really what you need to do is buy a bunch of zip ties, and use your hearing to find the rattles, remove the interior parts covering the rattle if necessary, and zip tie whatever is rattling. I did this one day and eliminated all rattles in my car.

I was looking to spend under $200 if possible. About how many square feet would I need? Also, the rear quarter panels rattle like a bitch when I pump the bass ( I have 2 12" Kicker CVRs, it pumps pretty nice lol) will Dynamat or any sound deadening material stop this?

there are two vents for your trunk, one located in each corner of the trunk
they have rubber flaps and from pressure changes with subwoofers in the trunk the flaps will flap/rattle
to solve the problem, simply grab and pull on the flaps until they come off the car

go on ebay and buy some dynamat. Will be much cheaper than anything in stores.

I bought a 36 sq ft dynamat extreme pack for $100 then, the one's I see now are $120-$140 including shipping on ebay.

I did the trunk, license plate, both doors and still have a few sheets left. Eventually I'll put the rest to cover the floor area. I'm thinking about getting all new seats, so when if I do that'll be a good time to install the dynamat.
