A Optima Yellow Top battery would be a good choice, and a nice capacitor could never hurt. Probably wanna run 2 or 4 gauge wire too.

Actually, I am going to be a dissenter towards the capacitor by saying that a capacitor is NOT a substitute for a proper charging system and battery setup. They help in certain limited circumstances but can also hurt you just as bad. For example, if you manage to hit a bass note (or play a test tone) that drains your capacitor completely, then your alternator will have to work to charge the capacitor, power the car, and power your sound system! A lot of people will swear as to how a cap managed to help their sound system related power draw issues where in actuality, they managed to put a band aid on their problem.

Personally, I would rather have a dual battery setup with a high output alternator and isolator over a capacitor/stock charging system any day of the week. Not only would you eliminate the headlight dimming from the voltage drop, but you could run your sound system with the car off until you killed battery #2 and still start your car to drive home!

what kind of isolator do you recommend and where and how does it hook up. Thanks.

I would go with any diode based isolator that will handle the amperage that your alternator puts out (similar to this: http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...3388_200343388)! In the late 80s/early 90s I ran a RV isolator off of my factory alternator to a deep cycle marine battery in the trunk since high output alternators were unheard of back then.

In your case, I would recommend the dual battery setup since you are doing more than just a basic sound system upgrade. In addition to your sound system, additional lighting, monitors, and your 360 will more than likely be way too much for a single battery with a high output alternator.

With all that stuff a dual battery setup would be worthwhile. Another nice thing about it is you can run stuff off the second battery with the engine off. There's no worry about draining the stock battery and not being able to start the car.
