in the trunk, around where the speakers come down there are bolts that are holding the grill in place. and the bolts for the speakers are right there too. when you crawl in your trunk and look you'll see what i'm talking about. just take the nuts off and they're free.

^ wrong.

You have to dissasembple the back dash. PLEASE see the DIY on it. I have one specifically for 4 dours but the same applies to coupes also.

you have to remove the rear deck start by disconnecting your 3rd brake light connection. You have a bunch of clips you will have to remove be careful not to brake too many of them I say too many cause when I did mine i broke 2 of them. From there you have to play with the deck pulling lifting here and there until you can remove the deck cpmpletely. Seems harder than it really is didnt take me too long to remove it. Once the deck is off you will see the screws holding down your speakers just unscrew them drop in your 6x9 and screw them back in. Then you have to lay the deck back on which to me was a bit harder than removing it.....

good luck I know this explanacion is not too clear but once you get started you will see its not that hard to do....

I'll post a DIY for a 96-00 Coupe rear speaker installation in a couple of mins, it is not the same as the sedan, the sedan is easier [:'(]

in the coupe, its easier when you remove the side panels, which is also easy but a little time consuming, if you decide to not to remove the side panels, removing and installing the rear deck is a PITA
