Default The speakers I am going to get thanks for the help

Okay so I decided to go with componets as it was said they sounded better. I know I had a budget which I still do but this is my choice for the 6.5's in the door panels:

Yeah I just had to go with the most expensive speaker on the site.

Now for the back ones the 6x9's:

Something like those 6x9's but I am still debating and reading up on them. I cant seem to find a set of componet 6x9's I guess people dont use them much? I guess I should not even get a set as then I would need another 2 channel amp.

In my system I will get a 4 channel amp for the 2 componets in the doors and the dual subwoofer box. So that takes up all 4 channels.

I cannot seem to find a good enough amp to power this though. You all said to get the amp to have about the same RMS per channel as the speakers and well the Bass speakers have like 200+ or so watts per speaker and the RMS on the door speakers is 110 so what do I do? Thanks

For one, the reason 6x9s do not come as components is because 6x9s are not meant for quality, they are more efficient woofers meant for filler, which is why the larger speakers are usually the ones in the back of the car
as for an amp, you do not need to get an amp that matches your RMS of your speakers
pretty much any RMS will do fine, unless you're going under half, then what's the point?
You can get an amp that puts out 3 times the RMS, as long as you tune it right, you're fine
also I don't suggest mixing models

So whats the reason on getting a 1000 watt RMS or even a 400 watt RMS amp?

So for lets say 2 alpine 200 watt rms subs and those 6.5 speakers above what amp should I look for? They get expensive and they get cheap. As long as the max is above the grand total for all speakers in the RMS area I am good?

I agree don't get 6x9's, you won't need their better bass response when you have a subwoofer delivering the bass. So put round speakers in the back they're easier to install and sound better. Use a seperate amp for the subs and either a 4 channel or two 2 channels for the front and rear speakers.

If the backs are mostly for bass and if I get a sub system I wont need to replace them then.
I would then need a two channel amp for the front door speakers and a 2 channel amp for the sub system correct?
Its a lot involved to take the back ones out just like the front and if I do not have to and dont have to spend the money then I wont.
Correct?

I really wish people would read that thread I posted a bit ago lol
Put it this way, replacing your back speakers helps, it will be where the majority of your volume will come from for high/mid/mid-low
Due to the displacement of 6x9s as compared to 6.5s, you'll get more volume out of them for the same amount of watts going in (per same model etc)
As for the RMS I'll give you an example
My type X components take 75 watts RMS, which is exactly what they are being given by my amp
my R components take 100 RMS, but they are only getting 75
my 6x9 type Rs take 100, but are also only getting 75
Is this bad that they are getting less than they are recommended? No, it just means they can take more, that doesn't mean you absolutely have to give them that much power
My type X subwoofer takes 1000 watts RMS, what am I giving it? 420 watts RMS
this is less than half of the recommended RMS, but it still pounds to the point I want it to, because I don't want excessive bass, I want quality
This is an example of an amplifier that does NOT match the RMS of the woofers
As an example of an amp that surpasses it, I used to have dual speakers when I was a noobie, they had like a 35 watt RMS rating but I was giving them 90 with my other amp...
After learning what I'm saying above, I simple turned down the gain on the amp, so that they were getting about 40
even if a woofer recommends lets say 75 watts rms, it's not going to hurt to give it 80 or 90

I read your thread I just got a bit confused as I cannot seem to find a amp that has the RMS I need for all 4 lol. Or at least not one thats in the 200 dollar range.

Thanks!
Do you think this is a good deal?

The BOSS amps are junk correct? They sure are cheap....The box seems to have good reviews.
