Default Stereo Problems

I left my headlights on for a few hours today, and needed a jump to get it going again. My stereo will only diplay "CODE" and "ERR" also the CD player will not feed in discs. If you know what I can do to fix this it would be much appreciated.

I'm quite sure you need to enter the Honda stereo code into it. Do you have it on a card from Honda? It usually comes with your owner's manual.

I am not sure what my code is. I will look some more, but if the codes are the same for all models it is an 01 EX.

No, the code will be specifically for your stereo. (that's in case someone rips you off, then they can't use the stereo)

Yes, I believe if you go to a Honda dealer, then show them your ownership, they will get you the code from Honda. I don't think you can just call them and get it because they need proof.

that happend to me. i just called the dealer and read them the serial number off the radio. i thought it seemed strange that they gave it over the phone cause that defeats the purpose of the code but they did

You need that code if you have a stock stereo because they're made like that for whenever the power is disconnected (same thing if your battery dies).
