Default Sub Setup problem

hey wassup, i got a issue. i got 2 generic 12's which go for about 800 watts each with about 150-200 RMS each sub. anyways i powered em with a 840 amp generic as well. problem is that the subs dont hit at all i mean the trunk doesnt even vibrate. But i heard someone say that if you power em with a lower watt amp they will hit better. Can anyone confirm this?

Lower power amp.... no. Higher quality amp... prolly.

How do you have them wired? I would think you would want a two ohm load. Look in the sticky at the top of the A/V section and there's diagrams on how they should be wired up.

You probably just have the "cross-phased," meaning you have one of the + and - reversed. Switch one speakers wires and see if that helps.

If not, what kind of box do you have them in? Have you checked the gains on the amp?
