You can put a switch inline, to disable it when you have to leave your car in gear (if you're parking on a hill) or if you are going to give the keys to someone else.

When you install an auto starter in a 5 speed it just bypasses the clutch. So even when you use your key to start the car you dont have to step on the clutch.

Yeah, once you get the remote start install done right in a 5sp it usually works just as good as an auto considering it just bypasses the clutch like pcupo said. There were a few times this winter when i definately wouldnt have minded walking to a car that had already been warming up for a few minutes.

Good luck with all of it though!

Ok yeah i understand what all of you are saying about it being unsafe and all but im not going to install it until i put in a neutral safety switch, which allows the car to start only when in neutral, regardless of the clutch position (even tho i will have to bypass it). ONce u start doing it its not all that hard.

There is some sort of clutch sensor that stop ytou from doing it. It is very possible to put remote start on a manual. Ive seen it done. But (lmao) if you leave it in gear, just his the button and watch your car go!
