lol @ pyramid amps
I always love these 2600 watt pyramid/boss/power acoustik amps
Let's do a lil physics shall we
Amplifier draw is a product of the power law
1w = 1a * 1v
So a 2600 watt amp in a 14.4 volt system is going to draw 182 amps of current, take a multimeter and connect it at your power connections on the amplifier and let out a burp at max power. If anyone of those flea market amps even breaks 90 amps I'd be shocked

So gordon, how big is the fuse on your "custom jap" amp?

See my post above for the math, but my Pioneer premier h/u has 50x4 on the faceplate too, the fuse on the back is rated at 10amps....not 200 watts of power coming out of that h/u

on the face plate it dont say 50x4 it says 200 but thats besid ethe point i dont care about that. im not backing pyrmid/ pyle/or power acoustik. my amp has 3 30 amp fuses.
as for my sub since apparnetly it will blow at 1000 watts and a funny thing is it last longer than a re mt(55 sec)on a wall outlet. see our video on realm of excursion 12 finished product model lasted longer than 1 minute.
heres some of the things on it i havent got all technical . but i can...
15inch napalm dual 2
tall roll foam surround
double pressed composite paper cone
dual progressive spider with abs support rings
air force cooling technology
massive 180oz doube stacked magnet motor structure
12 spoke castaluminum basket
12 spoke cast aluminum heat sink magnet cover
70mm peak to peak suspension
3inch voice coil on an aluminum former
400 watts minimum power
1000 watts rms
3000 watts peak
6000 watts for 5 sec. tonal burst.

if necessary i can put the technical stuff on here

Honestly, cause you are on here a) promoting your business when this website is supported by paid advertisments, b) You are promoting crap products on querky logic, i.e I dont care how long MD fart boxes last plugged into a wall outlet, music doesnt come from an outlet. MT subwoofers while designed for SPL still retain some musical properties. On the other hand, MD's SPL series subwoofer sounded like a big wet sloppy fart when I heard one in a street install at DB drag world finals. There is nothing special or innovative about the brand, just another OEM sub with a pretty logo. You want a subwoofer worth listening to, try a subwoofer from a company that uses TC Sounds or Adire Audio. So assuming we both agree on how a fuse works, tell me how your custom amp puts out so much power while not being able to exceed more than 90amps of draw.

So if you are getting the feeling that you are being pushed away from this forum, you might be more intuitive than I thought

i almost totally forgot our group leader was on team maxxsonics and his friend did a test. the guy lived in virginia he took 23 different 12 inch subs and put them in his system to see what was best in cluding our sub he didnt change a thing even had the same song playing ours placed high. it was known as the great 12 challenge..... go to the realmofexcursion then click on forums. after it loads up scroll down till you see subwoofers. it has a sub-forums link called the great 12 challenge click on that then on top click the great 12 challengetest results we have a napalm and a sidewinder sidewinder didnt do to well but napalm did better than we thought. we sent him a prototype it didnt have someof the stuff on it that i posted mine had previously. but its worth its money. napalms on the bottom of list . the sidewinder is in the regular order.

okay **** this **** im out i tried . and no our subs dont sound like a fart box are subs performed better than re sx competing and if they sounded so bad why did we max each one with 4000 watts and hit 154. they cant be too bad because of that. have you ever thought about maybe the person that installed it didnt know how to install it. and about the wall outlet i was just telling you that so you would have an idea abouthow much ours can take a beating. but aparently you didnt understand that concept?

I think we have two totally differant ideas of what makes a subwoofer sound good, farting a note @ 40+hz doesn't make a subwoofer good or bad, it means it can make numbers cause I can't even qualify that as reproducing music.

btw, congratz on making yourself and your company look like a respectable business worth buying a product from. Every MD representative I'v seen about the car audio forums has come across as a childish idiot when someone questions their product. And to this day, we've always been right. MD audio is and probably will remain something for the few involved with the company to protect and hump cause no one else in the industry likes the product or the company.
