1. I have a Clarion Max685BT head unit with a supplied iPod adapter. Right now, I'm using my old iPhone as an iPod. Problem is, when I start the car, the iPhone turns on, but when I turn the car off, the iPhone stays powered on, draining the battery.
I'd like to know if all iPods are like this or is there another model that will turn off or that doesn't drain power when not in use?

2. Are all iPods controllable from the head unit. My iPhone is completely controllable from the head unit.

 

the touch should be contollable if your iphone is.. also they go into sleep mode after a set aount of time so it dosent drain ur battery, then they will shut off... but its not that big of a deal to just turn it off lol
