1998 Honda Civic EX Sedan 5-Speed
Viper 5002 alarm system

I'm going to place the alarm under the front drivers seat, and will run the powers wire(s) to a constant 12V in the under-dash fuse panel.

Question:
Do I run each individual power wires to the 12V source?
Do I turn all power wires into a single wire, close to the brain, and run that? If so, what gauge should that wire be?

just run one wire from under the dash and connect it to everything near the brain. Since its just an alarm use something in the range of 12-14 gauge wire. if it was a remote start that would need a bigger wire.

Ohhh...can I just have one fuse for all the power wires near the 12V source? What should the amp be?

I would have one main fuse at the +12V source as well as have every individual component fused.

As far as what size fuse, current adds up. so take the amount of current that each component uses, and add all of them up. and use the next size up for the main fuse.

 

Oppps...actually the 506T and 507M are plug-and-play...plug right into the 2 4pin white sensor connectors on th 5002

I will only join 2 power wires, 520T and siren relay. What fuse amperage will I need for these 2?

my estimate would be a 25 amp fuse would be fine to power all that. If you don't have any 25s, then a 30 would work as well. but nothing higher than that

 

So a 25 amp for both the siren relay and the 520T near the 12V continuous source?!

How about on the siren relay end, what should my amperage be?

On the 520T end it has a 15 amp, is that OK?

well since you have the battery backup, your going to want to run the siren relay off of that as well. if you don't then it pretty much defeats the purpose of the battery backup. so the only thing that will be hooked to the continuous source will be the 520t. and you probably don't need a main fuse near the source since there is already a fuse on the wire. and just use the fuse that it came with.

 

So I understand:
87 on siren relay to 520T GRAY
5002 H1/2 RED (15A fuse) to 520T GRAY

520T RED to 12V Constant (15A fuse)
