Wanna replace my whole audio system..
I'm new to the forums but I have a couple questions for replacing my whole audio system..
Nothings wrong with it I just wanna get a little more bump lol..
First question is what should i be looking for in an amp, head-unit etc? Like spec wise?
I'm in an electronics shop at my school so i got background knowledge on wattage and what not I'm just not familiar with the specs with amps and stuff so any help in explanation is appreciated, even links to some sites for parts would be nice too..Thanks in advance

well rockford fosgate has 12's from the Prime series at 150watts rms to the power T2 that is 1000watts rms i guess it just depends on how much bass you want and how much you wanna spend.
the channels on an amp mean a few things a single channel aka mono amp is subwoofer specific(lows only), a two channel is for either subs or normal speakers(crossovers for either highs or lows), and a 4 channel is generally for speakers only (highs, however if you have one it can be used for a small sub.) the number of channels that an amp has also will determine wiring options.
By specs you mean what? rms output?(generally 16-22rms per channel) number of pre outs?(from 0-3 usually) pre-out voltage(from 1-6volts) I suggest getting an Alpine head unit you won't be disapointed.
