does this work on alpine lcd decks?
my buddy has an alpine in his car and he doesnt know how to hook up the e brake and the foot brake
any ideas how to bypass them for alpine?

Same idea should apply. As long as its a solid ground (ie. metal on metal) it should work without a hitch.

Just ground it and your worries will be over. Hey for pioneer if you have a avic-n2 if you use avic-n1 software you won't have to worry about the video shutting off. Allpine you hook up the yellow and black to the brake pedal and hook up the yellow and blue wire threw a toggle switch to ground. Everything but pioneer and alpine you can just ground the parking break wire.
