I think this is enough spending for me for now. I still need to get a few more ods and ends to get this new setup together.

I want to mount my stuff to the back seat like i have my current amp but since its alot of stuff i think im going to get some MDF and mount that to the back seat then mount thios stiff to it.

Good luck on your truck stuff, i cant wait to see your new thread about it.

dang it... i forgot again about those wire terminals... i swear ill have them out tomorrow! im off work tomorrow so ill try to get them out in the morning. i actually got my drop kit today surprisingly enough. tho still cannt install the kit because i still need to spend another 300bucks from my next paycheck.

but anyways. yes defiantly use some MDF to mount everything to. much easier to mount to the rear seat. i would use 3/4 myself, strong stuff and thick enough to use some 1/2- 3/4inch long screws to secure everything.

yep home depo should have 3/4 mdf cut pieces. so you dont have to buy a full sheet!
i think the size they are is 2ft by 4or5 foot size.

at least my local home depo sells them. but they might not all sell it so not sure. i think it was ruffly 15bucks.

Hopefully i can have them trim it to the size i need because i dont have a saw and dont really want to buy one just for this one use.

One of the only wack things about living in an APT.

well they can give ya a decent cut... nothing really precise but alright... i bought a jigsaw and extension cord when i lived in a apartment. i cut the wood out on my balcony with some plastic around the area so i didnt **** off the guy on the 1st floor.LOL
a jigsaw isnt that great for cutting a straight line but with a good square piece of wood or something like that and some visgrips or Cclamps to hold it inplace you can use it as a guide with the jigsaw and cut pretty close to straight.
just get some trunk carpet to cover the mdf with to make it purty

Yeah ill prob see if home depot will cut it to size for me.

I have to measure again but i think about 40 inches by 11 inches will work well.

For carpeting ill prob take it to a local stero shop and see how much they will charge tro cover it for me. I dont really know where to get carpeting, do you know? Im sure i can do it myself but if not how much can a shop really charge me for such a simple job?

just do it yourself. im not positive but some autoparts stores sell trunk carpet. then its simple spray glue adhesive bought at any autoparts store! 3M stuff works best IMO. the stronger the glue the better. headerliner glue i believe is there strongest since it has to hold the material up.
no idea how much a shop would charge ya but its very simple to do yourself. then just use a razor blade to trim the carpet and around cornerslay 2 pieces over eachother and then use the razor blade to cut thru BOTH layers of carpet and then pull the carpet up and remove the scrap pieces and lay it back down again after glueing it. then you have a nice clean cut of the carpet that will match up perfectly!
