I just installed my exhaust, so all the more reason why I should start working on a sound system for my car!!! I was wondering whats the best recommended front and rear deck speakers for my 01 EX Coupe??? I'm not trying to spend alot, so anything thats great for the right amount of money..I heard about Polk and Infinity, are they good? Which ones in particular? If any other brand, please let me know...thanks alot guys

 

i Have Polk Audio in my 97...6 1/2 and 6 by 9's and they are very nice...i need some dynomat for my car just for these speakers....but i would recommend Polk Audio......

Um..well i got mine at circuit city..and i forgot how much they were but they were cheaper then best buy im pretty sure....

 

I would choose a speaker made by Infinity over a comparable Polk speaker. Just an opinion, but I think Infinity makes better quality speakers. Alpine speakers are pretty nice for the money. Eclipse is a great brand.

I'd suggest just going down to your local car audio store and playing with the demo board for a while, find some speakers you like the sound of, and do a little research to see which one's are the best bang for your buck.

 

yea that sounds like a good idea herbaleyes, thanks...i'm going to check out Circuit City tomorrow and see what I can get that sounds great and is best for my money...I currently only have a Panasonic headunit which is completely outdated, but when I install the interior speakers, will there be a great difference from the stock ones? I also plan on buying subwoofers in the near future, what do you guys consider the best option? Thanks alot

 

There should be sizeable difference from stock. But if your radio doesn't have enough power to push them, they will sound worse. In this case, don't think the speakers are bad. Just get a decent amp to push them. Then you will notice a huge difference from factory.

 

hey get a sony xplod gtx-200 or 300 or 400 all great with auxillery jack for mp3's plays mp3 cd's and has sub controll for when you get the subwoofers, i would not recommend sony xplod sub amp or other speakers though.... just a good head unit
