Just curious as to where one might go about running a power wire to battery for their amp. Any advice on this would be much appreciated. I just bought a 2002 civic ex and would like to put my stereo stuff in. Just not familiar with where to go through the firewall on this lil import. Thanks in advance from a noob.

seriously though, where are you mounting the amp? if inside the cab area then you want to go alongside the jambs, under the carpet, you should find factory harness there, follow it till it goes through the firewall, and then you follow it some more. if you require more precise directions, leave more detail and someone will answer you. there are four or five guys here who are the resident experts on audio, but youve gotta give em a little time. everyones gotta work and stuff

Idealy, I would like to mount the amp in the trunk with the subs to make it easy for the thieves when they eventually break in and steal my stuff. But seriously, for it to just be out of the way I plan on installing it in the trunk. Any pics or advice from one of the audio gurus would be appreciated.

if ur not goin for anything fancy just mount the amp to the back of the sub box.......or build a custom amp rack if u wanna make it look nice

 

my mate's escort had a gromit behind the glove comparment box, just get out of the cars and look underneath the glove compartment box, you might see some wires, you might not. Never been a Civic owner so far, hoping soon tho

 

mine has a nice grommet behind the glove box. it was super simple
