Will it be enough?

Will it be enough?
I recently asked about running two kappa perfect 12" subs. But I'm starting to think that I would prefer one.
But here's the thing. I used to run a 351m amp with a 12 rf he2 sub and wasn't impressed with it at all. It bumped ok for the most partbut when I wanted it to hit hard it dissapointed me.
Would a 400 watt alpine amp driving a 12" kappa perfect sub be any louder? I have no desire to show off bumping down the street, I just want it to sound good and bump hard when I want to listen to loud bass music.
I plan on installing some dynamat before running the new sub, if that makes much difference.

RE: Will it be enough?
get a mono alpine amp and run it to 12" Alpine Type-R (no need for a carbon fiber Type-X haha). Alpine always has sounded amazing to me and i am running an Eclipse 2 channel amp to my one Alpine Type-E and it sounds awesome
