RE: Autocross
raise tire pressure enough that u wont be riding the sidewalls. always look ahead a few cones or turns. listen to ur tires, if they squeek and squeal then ur taking the turn to fast. maybe take back seats and spare out and all that junk, every lil bit helps. remove any loose items or possible projectiles. make sure ur battery is tied down tight. check all lug nuts and make sure they are tight, and after the race(very important!) make sure u tighten the lugs again because they will become loose after racing. leave ur car in 2nd gear when racing, shifting takes up to much time and prolly is not needed. remember, slow and steady wins the race. most important, HAVE FUN!!! is this ur first time autoxing?

+1 extremely helpful.
just looked up to join the scca and its only $35 for me and my gf to join. there is a solo going on at the oakland coliseum this weekend that i'm gonna go to just to see how it is. sounds fun and i might want to join it myself.
