OMG this thred is awesome! what programs do you guys use? I use to have adobe photo shop before i joined the military. you guys have any sites or anythign maybe i can get a program to photo shop? I would love to do this again.

Yeah I think the background is partly why it got effed in the comp...(well that and the fact that the other entries kick ***)

As for the hatch...I found a pic of an open hatch but really low rez and rebrushed it...so yes and no. Here it is on the original BG.



**Edit...and you can download a program called GIMP...a lot of people use that (its free) but I dont have a clue how it works. I just got CS3 not too long ago.

 

paint.net is probably the best 'free' one you can get i lvoed it till i got cs2

Do you guys just use to pen tool for selections and fill it in with a color? That's what I've been doing for brushing, but it isn't coming out very clean.

no i use the pen tool for a selection and then brush in the shadows and lines..

 

yo im ready for a chop contest now, i haven't been in the chop shop for a while cause i had to use a crappy monitor for a while and man it sucked *** cause the contrast was off, but now i finally got my 21" monitor back on and i have to say our chops looks damn good
