So found out my buddy at work is willing to paint my valve cover for free...and my hx rims haha havent decided if i want to paint the valve cover yet tho. What colors should i go with if i do get them painted?

Ps my cx is silver with blue brake calipers.

 

gold or bronze is my vote

DAAAYYYYYMMMM i like that...its freakin sick. I think i saw that car before he got that painted...or read his post or thread when he was talking about it. But yeah idk if my friend is that good with paint. His valve cover that he did on his Cobalt looks prety bad to be honest...its just the idea of painting it for free that im interested in as bad as that sounds. But that's pretty kool tho thanks for the idea...

 

the valve cover i vote wrinkle black, but also depends on the scheme you are going for in the engine

for the wheels i vote repainting them gloss black or if you want a new color i say gunmetal or bronze

 

You dont think that the hx wheels would look bad with the bronze paint? I just thought of that cause theyre small (14"). But i am liking the wrinkle black idea that could be kool with all the black hoses and wiring already in there. and it would go with the black wheels and moldings etc...

 

Actually i looked at some pics of gold hx's on google and i think they dont look too bad. I kinda like em haha so either that or repainting em black im thinking And ether blue or black for the valve cover.

I go with grey and blue together for VC to match with ur calipers but should all be gloss to look better. You should paint yourself since they have d.i.y forum on how lol. Its very simple and plus its your VC and you would be more careful on it. If you let your friend do it for free then there might bound to be something wrong. I'm going to get my VC paint winkle black and red
