Question Cleaning Strut Towers

My Engine is pretty clean but my strut towers & inside the engine bay are terrible! OR Would this be considered the same as "cleaning your engine"?

WHOA! somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this afternoon
since you asked, my question is should i use the same stuff (degreaser) as i would use to clean the actual engine, or do i just use a bucket and a rag as "suggested" my Stifflersmom... i guess a bucket will do... smh!

PS: @ stifflers mom: u might want to spell check before u reply

Just so you know, my shaken baby syndrome suffering friend, I intentionally make spelling mistakes.

P.S. use a rag and report back with progress. Degreaser on paint isn't what you want to do.

DONT use degreaser on any painted surface. There's a good chance of it stripping, discoloring or in some sort of way it'll ruin the paint. Take a spray bottle with some car wash soap and water, spray the entire bay then hose down the engine bay with mild water pressure(hose with finger over end works well). Then scrub and dry off dirt/grime. You can wax the painted surfaces too if u want.
