Question Molding/Trim Problem

Hey Guys,

I'm new here. Just got a Black 07 Honda Civic back in May 2014.

The dealer did an OK job re-painting the car (apparently there was a manufacturer defect on paint, can confirm cause I see a lot of civics with same paint problem I had)

The only problem is that the whole area around the windshield wipers (including the wiper encasement?) is faded and need something to do about that. I'm not sure if there is a cheap fix or anything on the market I should be keeping an eye out for?

Also, I'm not sure if I'm using the proper word here, but the trim is also faded/sun damaged. It's the rubber parts that keep out the rain.

Do I have to take this problem to an auto-body shop? Has anyone experienced this problem>

I'll try and include two pictures but 1) I'm new 2) Don't have photoshop and 3) Am not the best photographer.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You could either remove them and paint them black or replace them or you could coat them with something like Gtechniq C4 or C1. The coating will last about a year.

Try using 303 protectant for all the rubber/plastic pieces. It has UV protection to combat fading.
