Default New used wheels, how to clean them really good?

Ok so i scored some wheels today on cragslist and before i put them on the car i want to give them a thorough cleaning.

I figure a good amount of hot water will be needed but what do i clean the wheel with.

I have some really strong degreaser that i can use on the inside of the wheels but will that mess with the black paint?

Should i just use some hot water and some dishwasher soap then some wheel polish to shine them up?

Do i do something special or diffrent between the black and silver part of the rims?

Hook me up with some info guys..

Yeah the outside isnt to bad but the inside is kinda of extra dirty. im hoping some hot water and some orange cleaner will get it all out.

Advance auto parts sells some "wheel and rim cleaner" or something like that. It's in a grey/silver spray bottle, and it works AMAZING. I use that and a special wheel brush I bought from target.

I can clean a wheel spotless in like 2 minutes.

Sweet, thanks for the info. Ill have to check them out in the AM then since ill be getting up early tomorrow to wash my rims and put them on. I just wanted to wash them very well one time before i slapped them on since its so much easier to really wash the inside fo the rim with it off.

Yeah, i could def use a drop but truthfully its the last thing on my list of mods unless of course my current shocks and stuff go bad, because if im replacing parts ill add the better ones while im at it.
