I read on some other car forum that they used simple green to remove old wax.

i just bought some turtle wax ice polish past. dam polish cost a lot $17. This is going to be my first time doing a full polish and wax job on the car, i usually just wax the hood to protect from UV. Is it fine to use polish on a CF hood? I like using past, over the liquid because its easier to see and put an even amount. I have a meet next month, so im going to do it the night be for. Any tips about going about this? It goes, wash, polish, wax rite? Do you remove polish like you would wax? Does polish take out some scratches? is microfiber towel the towel to use to remove wax?

as long as its not carnauba based wax carnauba wax will haze on gel coat hoods like VIS.i would wash, clay bar.polish,wax,.polishing compond should be fine.yes polishing compond will remove fine scratches i would use a electrical polisher to apply the compond you can get one for 40 buck it will make your life easy check out some DIYs on you tube.also when useing a micro fiber cloth use very little pressure because it will make scratches .

yes i no what you think about carnauba wax on cf hoods..lol if i had a dime for ever time you said that. im going to keep using my Turtle Wax Carnauba Cleaner Wax. im going to get the NXT i think for the hood it has polymer not carnauba. Ill use the rest of the turtle on the car.

Since you have a black car Enigma, you should look into the Klasse polish and glaze. It makes black cars look amazing.

On the directions on the polish, it says for an easier way to remove polish and to get a better shine, mist ICE Detailer. I have to make another trip to advance auto again... they have a deal rite now buy two turtle was ice products and get $5 off.

Any tips about this detailer spray?

How long do you wait to remove polish, and wax?

I gess ill also clay bar the car, so its worth polishing i waxing. Is c;ay baring somthing you do everytime you polish n wax? Do you use a clay kei only once or is it reuseabul?

I found a video on how to clay bar, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcZRj509Ir8

Do you wash a car after clay baring it?
