don't quote me but i am pretty sure 35% is the law but all my friends including myself have 20% all around and have never gotton pulled over. In fact i've had 20% tint on all my cars for 5 years now and have never gotton a ticket or pulled over for it. Even when i got pulled over for speeding (many times!!) nothing was ever mentioned about it.

I have 20% all around and haven't had a problem yet, besides, worse case senerio they might give you a small fine and have you take it off. As far as inspection goes, find a small local mechanic (no chain or national places) and pay CASH. You could always go to get something small done and if he does good work tell him you'll be taking your care there exclusively and paying cash whenever possible. Come inspection time he'll be like "Tint, what tint, it wasn't there when I inspected it."

PA cops are pretty leanient(spelling?) about tint, if you do happen to get pulled over make sure you're windows both driver and passengers are rolled down before the cop reaches your car. Turn your car off and take the key outta the igintion and put it in the coin tray or on the dash and keep your hands on the wheel. Because of your politeness and following proper protocol there is a good chance he'll be forgiving about small things like tint.

I'm from south central PA near chambersburg.

i emailed jammincaraudio.com (local car shop) and i asked them what the lowest % they would do. I'm still waiting to get an email back from them but i'm hoping to do 35% on the front and 20% on the back.

i really want to know the official laws for PA.....

I've got 35% in PA. No problems yet. The pros at the shop didn't mention anything about legality or inspection.

There are few cops in PA who enforce the tint laws. I got pulled over once for it and he just gave me a warning to let me know it was illegal. he said there is a $150 fine for it. You shouldn't have a problem with it.
