I use degreaser for hard to remove dirts, then just clean it every week for maintenance.

 

after you get them clean, clay bar them and then put a coat of wax on. then clean up is EASY

 

whestley bleach white and a tooth brush/ scrub brush and a whole lot of scrubbing. will keep the wheels clean and at lease once a year do a little bit of waxing ( on chrome wheels )

 

heres one for ya, diet coke. trust me it makes your wheels shine

 

That's how I clean mine too.

 

I like to use KITcarpet and Upholstery cleaner (from SCJohnson) it's a yellow spray bottle - gets the brake dust and dirt off.And if you have painted wheels usePLEDGE, yes the furniture polish from SCJohnson Wax (a family company) works awesome!!

i used degreaser and that worked really well just let it sit for 2-3 minutes and using a toothbrush with some elbow grease also works good, then just spray it off, DONT BUY THE DEGREASER WITH PATROLEUM or how ever u spell it because if you get it on ur tires they will dissovle in front of you eyes lol, sames goes for you engine if you use that kind of degreaser because it will dissolve your seals. They make earth friendly ones lol

 

I use a soft sponge(dish washing sponge) and dish soap. I always wash my rims everytime I wash my car(once a week). Get the inside of the rims also, it's tacky to have a clean wheel on the outside with a half rim thick layer of dirt on the inside.

I don't use wheel cleaners or anything similar because it leaves a haze. If you don't see a haze soon, there'll be one later.

 

I use the same method mentioned by mxs, simple green really does the job well. Also for tight corners that cant be scrubbed with a sponge I use an old tooth brush always does the trick.

 

Take it from me, I work at a detail shop in downtown san diego.

What we do is spray the degreaser all in the wheel well, tire, and of course the wheel it self. Let it sit, use sponges and brushes to clean all in there. If it's really bad we useacid but that's always in a worst case scenario.

Don't waste your money on armor-all, degreaser might even work better bro.
