Alarm harness?
I'm looking at buying and aftermarket alarm and Crutchfield does not carry a harness for their units that can plug into where the factory unit would. Are there any good alarm companies that offer a harness for a '02 Civic EX?
TIA,

Ive never heard of such a thing. If you cant install it you would be better off skipping on the crutchfield and getting it somewhere else with install.

Hey I have this same problem! Kind-of! Yamahasho I don't mean anything bad by cutting into your post but since you've already started this one...
I just bought a Viper 791XV. It's got a lot of bellz and whistles! My first question is (and I'm gonna look today for past posts) anybody have any wiring diagrams or such? And my second question is... The start switch on the clutch (98EX). Well my brother had an Excort GT, 84 I think, that had this same switch. My dad bypassed it and istalled a two way switch on it and you did not have to depress the clutch to start the car. Is this possible to bypass the switch the same way on the civic so the remote-start on the alarm will work?
And i have to brag a little cause I've had a Viper on my jeep since 1999 and I would'nt put anything other on my veh's...
Also I wouldn't think you could install an aftermarket alarm without some splicing. I used the little blue crimpers when I installed the Viper on my jeep and they have never failed. (mud, rain, cold weather and all!) If you take them off it only takes a SMALL piece of tape to close the cuts in the harness!
