Compatable ECU
So maybe I am looking in the wrong area as for search querry.
This is the computer that I have and apparently it along with my distributor are toast.. I am assuming it is due to leaving the car with the ignition in the on position for excessive amounts of time. *younger brother* From what I have read there is a great list of engine code answers but not my issue.
37820-P28-A01 Is the computer. I was riffling through random websites that listed ECU's and only selecting ones with 1.6 liter engines and M/T.
So of the following which will not work?
37820P28L01
37820P28A02
37820P2PA02
37820P2NA21
37820P2PA31
37820PE2A01
37820P2NL21
37820PE2L01
37820P2PA34
37820P2EL32
37820P2NL31
37820P06A00
37820P06L00
37820P28A00
37820P28L00
37820P2NA31
37820P1ZA51
37820P28A03
37820P1ZA01
37820P1ZL01
37820P30A00
Yes I did read that 96+ cars can NOT be chipped I am NOT looking to chip anything just get it to run so I can get to work again.

RE: Compatable ECU
well if the computer in ur car was a P28A01 than u need to put back an p28 back in there and the only one matches the A01 would be the 37820P28A02
but im not fully sure hoply some more people will come on and u can get some more opinions but i honestly think tht if the one in ur car was an 37820P28A01 THAN the 37820P28A02 should work

yes a p28A01 and a p28A02 are the same ecu's but your gonna have to stick with those two no other ones will work unless you get them chipped but you dont wanna so your gonna have to stay with those two ecu's

RE: Compatable ECU
37820P06A00 This is one I just picked up off of EBay... I figured I would take the risk worste case if I did not get a result I was going to put it back on ebay and sell it for what I bought it for. The computer is sending the signal and activating the fuel pump. I still have not started or tried to start the car since I am still trying to locate a distributor.. I am getting the impression that this car has been mickey moused together. And I am not out of the water yet. Thanks for imput so far.
