Crankshaft Position Sensor trouble
I own a 2003 Honda Civic LX. I recently got my timing belt changed at a local dealership. Two days after the timing belt jobI was on the freeway going around 70 mphand my car started to stutter and joltand the check engine light came on. I pulled off, shut the car off and turnedit back on. The light was still on and it ran fine after that. The next day the light went off and everything was fine. Then, a week later I was on the freeway agian and it did the exact same thing, but this time the engine light was blinking this time. I pulled it into my garage and hooked a scanner and it had the crankshaft position sensor code and alot of misfire codes. Just wondering if anyone has had anyproblems likethis??
If your engine is like the earlier ones, the sensor you're talking about is behind the crank pulley. The wire probably didn't get put back into the right position after the timing belt was changed, and the belt rubbed through the wire.
