d15b2 injectors
hey all , i was just wondering what are the specs (flow rate) of the dpfi injectors?(cant find that anywhere) and what happens if i swap them with 2 bigger ones?i looked into it and there are guys saying "youll run rich" , or "do the mpfi" (i cant afford the second one) , so i was thinking about (1)increacing the fuel going into the engine...not much..since i wont boost it or anything ...just a little to increace the power a little bit.
also there is this plate located before the throttle body.i wonder what thats for?it seems to be connected to some kind of a sensor..(2)i removed it the other day since its a restriction.
there is another plate thats inside the "dpfi" box that seems to be tribulating the air.i removed it, but the car died after 3.000 rpm..i did put it back for now but i think its a restriction so (3)i will replace the entire dpfi box with a direct pipe connecting the filter straight to the throttle body.i hope that doesnt make me lean enough to blow up the engine.
to tell you the truth i wouldnt bother insvesting time on money on the dpfi set up but since i dont live in the states and the engineers here arent so talented , plus the mpfi swap is not so common too, i dont risk paying 300 for the parts and another 300 for the engineer that will do the swap, and end up a car with problems.
so i was thinking doing the (1), ...then puting back that plate thats regulating the air(2), and finaly the thing with the tube (3)
just to squeeze a little more juice out of the dpfi set up.
(someone please reply this and tell me what you think. cause i cant find the info anywhere)tnx
