So i get how to wire the resistor box, take all 4 of the same colored wires, wire them into one, wire that one into hte resistor box, then wire the 4 wires coming off of the resistor box to the original 4 wires you cut. I know you need the box to change the impendance, but on my car, this is what my injectors clips look:



the clip wiresgo yellow/black and yellow, blue and yellow/black, red and yellow/black, and then another red and yellow/black. So should i wire all the yellow/black wires to the resistor box?

Also, when they say you need new clips, is that becasue the Honda clips wont clip onto the DSM clips? And if so, how do you wire the new clips in? Do you actually have to cut/splice hte new clips in?



i see in tha tpicture for example, it shows the clips, so you have to cut the exisiting clip wires and wire those clips in?

And do you NEED to bore? I read on an older thread about DSMs that a few peoples aid you had to bore, and a few others said they just used grease and slid them in there.

 

talking to people in the chat, this is kind of what i figured out. Wire all the same colored wires through the box, have all the individual ones bypass the box, then when you have all of the wries ready to go to the clips, splice in the new DSM clips, correct? Tony, if you view this thatd be cool if you could respond, a few people said you might know whats up here

Just color match the other wires to the ones in your stock harness, it should be fairly obvious which ones match. If not, list the colors

EDIT: Also, Tyler and I both had to bore the seals to make them work. Its not hard if you have access to a dremel.

 

Here is a DIY from d-series.org but they used something different than the resistor box. You can at least look at it to see another way to make the dsm's fit into your intake manifold, they grind the o-ring down instead of boring the holes.

 

the colors of my wires go yellow and yellow/black, blue and yellow/black, red and yellow/black, red and yellow/black. Which wires get wired through the resistor box? All the yellow/blacks? And you're saying the DSM clips should have the same color code as my Honda clips?

are you talking about the wires coming out of your harness, or the wires on the clips?

 

i thought u didnt need the clips from an eclipse to do the install u can use ur honda clips u just have to cut off a little plastic tab on the injector for it to fit

the wires that come right off the clips are those colors. There are two wires going to each clip, they all have one yellow/black wire going into them. Do you cut these and wire the DSM clips into them?
