Default ecu question

dont know if im in the right place, but i was wondering if an ek ecu will plug into an eg with a b16. the reason i ask is because my car wont start, and its getting no fuel from the pump and no spark from the distributor. my homeboy think it might be my ecu so i was gonna borrow a friends ecu to see if that was the problem.

no, the EK is OBD2 and the eg is OBD1, unless you did a post 97 b16 swap.

you know, since they day I got my 00 civic, the check engine light came on. the dealer said it was nothing and not to worry, so i didnt. when the car was at 40,000 miles I slapped on a ram air intake, then the light went off when I first started the car with the new intake. Then it came back on a couple of hundred miles down the road. When I put in the ignition wires and spark plugs, it went off then back on the next day... what is my cars problem?

Ok, this is off the topic of this thread a bid, but is the ECU in a 92-95 civic different from that of a 96+? I think it is but not sure. Please let me know.
