ECU question about a 99-00 SI
I have a friend with a 00 SI and found out that his ECU is from a EX and not form a SI.
Would this mess up how the car run runs? I thinkit would, but i told my friend i would ask first befor
hesould buy a new/used ECU.

RE: ECU question about a 99-00 SI
Absolutley not.
You're putting an ECU in designed for an engine that has 12* base timing, 75mm bore, poor headflow, and a 7K redline and putting it on a car that needs considerably more timing and fuel, 81mm bore, great headflow and needs all 8K of that powerband.
That's just asking for a very slow, leaned out, short shifted swap.
