Depeding on which system you get, tuning yourself might cost a lot at first. You are going to need a wideband ($300), for chrome and uberdata you are going to need a chip burner to reflash your chip with your new maps, and an ostrich emulator (around $170) to tune, plus a laptop.

Pretty much is going cost you about the same or a little more just to get started vs. getting a professional tuned. So unless you plan on constantly changing fuel maps, i really don't recommend tuning it yourself.

Anyways, there is alot of research you need to do if you want to learn how to tuned . I recommend checking this forum out.
