Default greddy emanage or aem ems

alright guys my plan for my 03 civic lx auto is to swap it to stick and get a turbo (yes turbo a d17a1 i know) I am not trading my car. So do i get the emanage or ems? I understand that the emanage wont allow for as much tuning but would i be able to piggy back my current ecu and be able to convert to stick and turbo? thanks for the help if i dont have to buy the ems that would be good to save me 1k
thanks guys

Umm this is like comparing a Lambo and a Escort, a lightweight unranked fighter vs Mike Tyson, a down righ bad *** fuel management system to a piggy back tuning accesory. Dude if you have the ability get the EMS hands down. E-Manage Ultimate will do the trick though.

hondata s300 is alot cheaper and can do alot to what AEM can do... although AEM can do more.. its 3 times as expensive .. and envolves alot of tuning time. while hondata is very user friendly and not difficult to tune

Unlike the previous gen D16 options, you cannot revert back to OBD1 and chip the ECU. It doesn't work, so basically that eliminates Uberdata, Crome, Hondata, Neptune, and any other chip or program that runs off the OBD1 ECU. Your cheapest option would be using some form of Piggy back system, IE Greddy Emanage, the SAFC/VAFC, or similar products. Most of these products are ok, they will work for mild setups but may have trouble idling larger injectors and they really don't do well with timing control. IMO, not having good timing control will cause premature engine failure quickly. Your best bet is going to be going with a standalone.
