Help with fuel problem on NEW 00 SI

Hey guys my girlfriend just bought a 00 civic si and we are having problems with it. This was off the dealer as is. So far I can tell is the car has intake exhaust fuel rail aem fuel regulator ford injectors and a pressure gauge that is pegged past 100 psi. I know the gause is broken becuase I released the pressure and it was stuck at 70psi but i just ordered a new one to pick up tomorrow.

The problem is it is idling high at stops around 3k rpms then drops to 1k after 2 secs. Im guessing becuase the pressure is uber high. Im trying to adjust the regulator but there was no nut and bolt on it. So I bout a nut and bolt for 87 cents. Once I get the gauge I am going to try to adjust it.

Now on the regulator if i tighten it will that bring down the pressure? because i thought if you loosen it would lower the pressure. I think I want to lower it to 40 psi if that is stock.

And ford fuel injectors? i never heard of. This puppy is eating a lot of premo gas...

Lose the injectors and FPR. FPR's are jank ass **** unless you spend money on a good one, it's most likely a big part of your problem.

Get some 240cc honda injectors, and a stock fuel pressure regulator for a whopping $50 total and see what that does.
