Default HELP Please!

Hey everyone, i'm new to this site but have a few questions to ask. I have a 00 civic ex and the the engine is a 00 gsr. I did the swap and i am using a an obd2b - obd1 conversion harness with a 95 p72 ecu. Now My question is do I have to rewire anything or should everything be plug 'n Play(i.e. vtec )? If I do have to rewire sumpthin Can somebody tell me what it is I need to do? I dont need to hook up IAB's cuz I just installed a Skunk2 Intake Manifold. That should eliminate the secondaries. all im concerned about is getting the vtec to engage. Any helpful replies will greatly be appreciated.

if your original motor was not vtec, you will need to run four wires, i have a obd1 diagram at the top of this section, check it out... very basic

My motor is vtec it's a d16y8. I just wanna know if i have to hook up any other wires since I went from an obd2b-obd1. If everything should be plug n' play then i should be okay is that right? Please help i am having so many problems with my motor and i am not getting the results that I should get with the motor. I got the Skunk 2 intake manifold so no need for hooking up secondarybutterflies. but y does my car lag in power? feels like no vtec is kicking in, just put new oil in but yet still no power. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thanks again for some input.

did thew harness come with any info? i can tell you where every pin is supposed to go.. but usually the conversion harness will have a couple extra wires, with instructions on where they should go. do you have the recources to post a pic of your conversion harness? as far as vtec... you should be o.k... the only problem might be a difference in chassis wiring from year to year.. how did the wiring for the engine go? you shoulkd have used the existing wiring.. ??
check the diagram.. and then if you got more questions i can tell you what pin number and what color wire..etc..
good luck..(but i really think you should be fine)

The wiriing went pretty well I think. I did use the existing wire all i did was just switched some plugs and extended some wires. And no I do not have a pic or diagram of my harness. THe conversion harness all came in one color ( gray ). Some of the wires did cross from plug to plug for the obd1 ecu so i'm pretty sure they are correct in where to go. But yea if you think I should be fine, THen I am okay with the info you have given me. Thanks for all ur help.
