I just bought my first civic (95 5spd EX) and its only got 13k on it... I have a grand left over from buying it so I wanna put it into it and I was wondering as far as racing goes what would be the best thing(s) to get... I am a mechanic so I can do my own work.

 

suspension should be the first thing you do.

 

Yeah suspension or I/H/E then suspension. No fun going fast if the car can't handle it.

I would spend half doing a mini me hop up and the other half on strut tower bars and sway bars front and back.

Suspension and brakes...performance comes later...if you have a grand right there why not get a REALLY DECENT suspension set-up? Find half a grand more and get a good tein set-up...

 

+1 on suspension, will make the car way more funner to drive expesualy aggressive griving is a blast

 

I would not spend one dollor on anything other than suspension.

 

wait...did you say 95 ex 5-speed and only 13K on it.....something doesn't seem right...although if it's legit you've got a great car.
