Default need help converting ecu

I have a auto p30 ecu and i'm throwing the code 19 which is Automatic transmission lockup control valve. My car is an automatic as well. But when i'm driving it doest let me go past 7k rpms in 1st and 2nd gear but when it hits 3 gear it revs up to 8k rpms.

My question is, if i convert my auto ECU to a manual would the code go away?
And is there going to be issues if i do this converstion?

it's an automatic, and 7k is not my redline. 8200 is.
Offtopic, why is redlining in 1st and 2nd gear BAD? so your telling me when you race at the track or anywhere you dont go to it's redline? Then your not getting the full hp out of your car. Whenmy car was dynoed the hp kepted on climing after 7k and thats because my redline is set for 8200.

Thats besides the point, i just need my question answered to see whats going on with the car

I may be wrong but I don't think you can. You'll throw a code. I not even sure it'll let you start your car.

ok, if that wont work this is what i have and this is what my car is doing.

I have a 97 civic dx with the JDM b16 engine (auto) with a p30 ecu. The only code i'm throwing is code 19. I dont know why it's throwing that code.

When i'm at WOT, 1st gear goes to 7k, 2nd gear goes to 7200, 3rd gear goes up to 7800 and 4th gear goes up to 8k. I know if i had a manual i can get all the gears to redline at 8200 but since its an auomatic it controls it for me. Why does my car do this? Does code 19 have anything to do this whats going on with the redline in my gears?

I'm new to Hondas, but I have an idea on this. Some cars do that in order to compensate for tachometer lag since it lags much more in the lower gears.

No I don't, but if this situation is due to programmed compensation for tach lag then you wouldn't want to fix it because in first gear your engine might be actually turning 8K when the tach is just reading 7K due to the lagging effect.

I'm not sure how you can check for tach lag, but possibly you could hold it in first and acellerate at full throttle to when your tack reads 7K and then abruptly let off on the gas and see if the tach goes higher that 7K for a split second before it drops back down. That probalby wouldn't work due to the way that throttles are programmed to not snap fully shut instantly.

well i'm pretty sure it's not the tach because i had 2 different tachs in the car and it's the same on both. And the way i found it it redlines at 8200 is by putting it in Nutrual and rev it all the way until it bounce, and thats how you can tell where the redline is. So i think its not laging, it's probably something else. I dont know if it's the solinods that are on the automatic transmistion that is making it do that. But i need to find out because it's annoying and i'm not getting the full power of the engine. I'm losing out on between 10-15 extra hp just because it wont climb to 8200. There's about a 10hp lose between the rpms of 7k to redline.

I'm sorry I didn't explain it well enough. ALL mechanical tachometers have tach lag. Your engine IS turning faster than it says when you are accelerating quickly in a lower gear. It is very possible your engine is turning at 8K when the tach reads 7K in first gear. If that is happening then you DON'T want to fix it, you can't fix it, it doesn't need fixing.
