its a 97 EX, and i think its a DOHC, cant find it anywhere, 1.6L non VTEC. My friend has the same car and turbo'ed it and his check engine light came on, something to do with the boost and his ECU not bein able to handle it

Alright, your friend's check engine light problem is more than likely due to the fact that he's still running OBD2, and has not had a tune.

If the motor in your car is stock, then you do NOT have a DOHC, and you DO have VTEC, if it is infact a 97 EX

What you will need to safely and reliably run boost is an OBD2A-OBD1 conversion harness, a chipped p28 ecu with a basemap, and eventually a street or dyno tune.

I suggest both you and your buddy do some major research about turbos before you end up blowing your motors.

and correct me if im wrong but the reason the code could be comeing up coule be because the map sensor freaks out at around 11-12 psi.....

yea you need a 3 bar map sensor, a ecu to be able to read it, and a way to tune.
