P07-A00 ECU vs P28-A01

Just wondering what the differences would be with running a P07-A00 ECU in my 93 civic ex instead of the correct ECU (P28-A01).

I have another thread in this same forum about how my ECU got stolen and have a question there about getting a replacement. For the time being, I'm using a P07-A00 just to have the car running. Is this bad? I'm getting much worse gas milage - I'm pretty sure it's due to the fact that the P07 is a richer-running ECU. The car also has a noticable loss in power; again, I'm pretty sure because the fuel maps are off.

Please let me know what you think on this. Thanks!

Well, by the advice of a mechanic friend, I bought the questionable P28, at least as a temporary solution. It's running great now.

The p07 is a nonvtec computer. The p28 is the one you need.

Thread is from 2011 and the person who created this thread hasn't signed on since early 2012 just fyi. Your best bet is to go to honda-tech, or buy one off eBay.
